The Programme

We understand that sending a student to a school abroad is not an easy decision to make. Having a guardian gives peace of mind and guarantees that there is always someone to lend a helping hand to the student. We know that it is imperative to make sure that all students will be in good hands before and during their stay here. Having a guardian puts the parent’s mind at ease and the students feel safe and confident abroad. The guardian remains responsible for the students throughout their stay in the UK and will be in constant touch with both the students and parents.

The school year is divided into three terms:

  • Autumn: September - December
  • Spring: January - March
  • Summer: April - July

Schools participating in this programme are selected very carefully on their record of academic achievement and for their enthusiasm in accepting students from other countries. These schools claim that they benefit as much from the cultural exchange as the foreign students themselves.

Great care is taken to regulate the number of students of any one nationality within the same school to ensure maximum integration and to encourage the use of English at all times. Schools are generally located in small communities and not in large cities.

Students live with a carefully selected host family within easy reach of the school and their Local Coordinator is available by telephone and email. We encourage students to become fully involved in the social life of the local community.
