We offer an English course of 15 hours per week which includes project work and lessons specifically designed to prepare students for their day trips. This encourages students to put their learning into practice in real life situations. We provide high quality teaching at all levels as well as a comprehensive programme of sports, cultural activities and excursions. This enables students to build up knowledge and confidence in an international atmosphere. Our team members have been carefully selected for their responsible, caring attitude, for being fun-loving and outgoing.  Our partner school in Bournemouth is a member of English UK and accredited by The British Council.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth is located on the south coast of England and enjoys a mild climate. It has become one of the most popular resorts in Britain, gaining reputation as the entertainment capital of southern England. The town, founded in 1800, has gradually grown into a full-scale resort town characterised by its cosmopolitan atmosphere, wide, tree-lined boulevards, Victorian architecture, long and clean sandy beach, beautiful gardens and busy shops.

The School

The school is located near the beach in a traditional building in central Bournemouth – an area packed with a variety of restaurants, shops and cafes to suit all tastes. The library is very close to the school. The school itself has all the necessary facilities to offer high quality in teaching and accommodating students, organising recreational and cultural activities.

Location & Facilities

  • Located in Bournemouth Town Centre;
  • 12 spacious classrooms on 2 floors;
  • 10 minutes’ walk from the beach or town centre with banks, post office and supermarkets;
  • Fully–equipped computer room with WiFi;
  • Garden with seating area for students to enjoy a sunny day.

The Programme

We offer an English course of 15 hours per week which includes project work and lessons specifically designed to prepare students for their day trips. This enables students to build up knowledge and confidence in an international atmosphere. Lessons

All courses follow the European Framework of Reference Levels: Lower Intermediate (A2), Intermediate (B1), Upper Intermediate (B2) and Advanced (C1). Teaching materials and end-of-course certificate are provided.

There will be no more than 16 students per group in closed groups. Generally, these students have varying native languages and are of similar age. All our teachers are qualified, with either a TEFL qualification or a teaching qualification (PGCE Primary/PGCE Secondary for Modern Languages).

Level

There will be a level test on the first day and students could be placed on any level from Beginner to Advanced.

Host Family Accommodation

We offer homestay accommodation as this is the best way to practise English and to learn more about life in Britain. The host family provide all the necessary assistance. Services included:

  • Shared room for 2/3 students of the same sex;
  • Shared bathroom;
  • Full board (breakfast, pack lunch and dinner);
  • Laundry, sheets and towels provided by the family.

Transfers

We can organise airport transfers from/to the main London Airports, which are Heathrow, Luton, Stansted and Gatwick (please contact us for details). Students will be picked up on arrival by members of our staff who will travel with them to Bournemouth, where the host families will be waiting for them.

The school can organise a programme of sports, cultural and leisure activities or excursions. You can choose from:

    • London (optional visits to Windsor Castle, Madame Tussauds, The London Eye, cruise along the Thames, etc.);

    • Stratford-upon-Avon;
    • Harry Potter World, etc.

Typical Half-day Excursions:

    • Jurassic Coast (Corfe Castle, Swanage, Durdle Door, Old Harry Rock);
    • Salisbury Cathedral and Stonehenge;
    • Winchester;
    • Portsmouth;
    • New Forest;
    • Poole Harbour;
    • Christchurch & Highcliffe, etc.

Student Welfare

We offer a 24 hours emergency helpline included in the basic package.

Mini Stays Schedule

  • Dates: October to May
  • Duration: From 5 to 14 nights
  • 11 - 17 years old
