Programme Description

This programme is for INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS of students (minimum 5 students for a minimum of 1 week if coming as a group). Study in a British school with British students. The students will shadow British school children in their daily routine. Every student will be allocated a “buddy”, a British student attending the school, who will share the same timetable and will attend classes of Geography, History, PE, Baking, etc.

The School

The schools used for this program will vary depending on availability and time of the year. We will always make sure that the programme doesn’t coincide with study time or exams for British pupils. Our State School Programme gives students the opportunity to attend a local school along with British students. The students will be studying the British curriculum and have the opportunity to take part in after school clubs and activities. This programme is ideal for anyone looking to experience a fully integrated programme to either improve their English, or experience life as a British student.

Typical Facilities: The technology provision includes a large specialist area, 2 food technology rooms, a catering suite, 4 other technology workshops, 3 graphics studios and an electronic room with specialist equipment. 13 well-equipped science laboratories and 8 maths rooms have either data projectors or Smart boards in every room. The school has 2 drama studios, 3 art rooms and an extensive music suite to serve creative arts. Physical Education has a large sports hall with a multi gym; grass pitches, an all-weather pitch and tennis courts.

Students can choose between homestay and residential accommodation. The residence and the school buildings are situated in the safe Lansdowne area within a 5-minute-walk from each other. In peak season, we have approximately 250 students at the centre. Students come mainly from Germany, Spain, Italy, Russia, Turkey and France. This enables our students to experience a multicultural environment where English is the means of communication.

Host Family

All families are local, experienced, police and safety checked, and meet the British Council’s high standards.

The family will provide all the necessary assistance. Services included are:

  • Collection of students from school on arrival and drop-off on departure;
